With over a decade of experience as an educator and former adjunct professor, I now work as a software engineer while continuing to nurturing my mindfulness practice.
Currently, I teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) an 8-week course in diverse community settings and host "Mindful Tuesdays," a weekly session designed especially for fellow software engineers.
I'm a Qualified MBSR Teacher with the University of California San Diego, School of Medicine, a certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200), and a mindfulness faculty member at The Innerwork Center in Richmond.
I’m passionate about bringing the transformative power of mindfulness to others and seeing how it allows each of us to live more fully into our callings, purpose and creative endeavours. I also serve on the board of Living Water, a nonprofit on a mission to strategically plant more trees and pollinator-friendly plants on the Southside of Richmond with the goal of mitigating urban heat and enhancing the well-being of Richmond's residents, the local bee population and the ecosystem.
I believe mindfulness can reconnect us to our innate wisdom and by caring for our mental, emotional and spiritual health we in turn care for our families, partners, friends and communities. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
I live in Richmond, Virginia, on the unceded land of the Powhatan people. And recognize they are the original stewards of the land, water, plants and animals who call the land we now reside on home. I seek to honor the legacy, lives and descendants of these ancestral lands.
